Can an employers require a person with temporary protection to speak Lithuanian?

     Yes, they can.

     Under Article No. 7 of the State Language Act, the heads of organisations must ensure that customers / patients are served in the state language. In cases where customers / patients are served by a person granted temporary protection, the employer must make arrangements to ensure that such services are provided in the official language. If the employer is unable to provide such arrangements, they have the right to require that the service provider, who has been granted temporary protection, speaks the official language.
