How does the Language Inspectorate check whether a person is proficient in Lithuanian?

The Language Inspectorate asks for a certificate of proficiency in the official language issued by the National Education Agency. If an employee has not passed the required language proficiency exam, they are given a reasonable period of time (several months) to do so and to submit the certificate to the Language Inspectorate.
